Long-Term Hold
What is Long-Term Hold?
Long-Term Hold is for treatment that has been deliberately paused — not actively pursued, but not closed.
When should I use Long-Term Hold?
Use it when short-term outreach for Not Booked treatment should pause, but the practice may reasonably want to revisit it later.
Does treatment have to be 90 days old before I can put it on Long-Term Hold?
No. Long-Term Hold is available for eligible Not Booked treatment without a minimum age.
Does Markwell automatically move old treatment to Long-Term Hold?
No. Markwell may identify older Not Booked treatment for staff to consider, but it doesn’t place treatment on Long-Term Hold automatically.
How do I move treatment to Long-Term Hold?
Use Log Action, choose Long-Term Hold and select a Hold Reason.
What happens to scheduled follow-ups when I move treatment to Long-Term Hold?
Any active follow-up for the treatment closes when it moves to Long-Term Hold.
Where can I see treatment on Long-Term Hold?
On the Long-Term Hold page, which brings held treatment together across your reports.
How do I return treatment from Long-Term Hold?
Use Return to Active on the Long-Term Hold page.
Will a future CSV import automatically reactivate treatment on Long-Term Hold?
No. If the same treatment appears in a later import while it’s on Long-Term Hold, it stays on Long-Term Hold.
What’s the difference between Long-Term Hold and No Further Follow-Up?
Long-Term Hold pauses outreach without closing the treatment. No Further Follow-Up closes the recovery workflow.
