Weekly Review & Treatment Plans

What does “Needs a destination” mean?

It means the treatment plan doesn’t yet have a clear next step or outcome.

In Help, a destination is a clear next step or outcome for a treatment plan: a future follow-up, Booked, Completed, Declined, Long-Term Hold or No Further Follow-Up.

A treatment status such as Not Booked, In Progress or Preauth Pending isn’t a destination on its own. Until the plan has one, it still needs attention.

Good to know

  • “Destination” is the word Help uses for this idea. You won’t necessarily see “Needs a destination” as a label in Markwell.
  • Scheduling a future follow-up gives a Not Booked treatment plan a destination without changing its status to Booked or Completed.
