Getting Started

What is a treatment opportunity in Markwell?

When Help refers to a treatment opportunity, it means a treatment plan that the practice may still need to follow through the treatment-recovery workflow.

In Markwell itself, you’ll usually see this called a treatment plan or plan.

A treatment plan can include information such as the treatment, its presented value, its treatment status, the date it was presented and its follow-up history.

Good to know

  • “Treatment opportunity” doesn’t mean Markwell decides whether treatment is clinically needed. The dentist determines clinical need and recommends treatment; the patient decides whether to proceed.
  • It’s also different from Markwell Opportunity, the eligible-value figure in Reports.
